The Neighborhood Sites provide food for people living in areas of the community that have been identified as high risk. Bringing food into the community helps people who are working full-time, might not have transportation, or cannot come to the warehouse themselves.

Volunteer@foodforothers.org connects you to the Volunteer Coordinator, who is happy to answer additional questions.

Volunteers will need to use their own vehicles and be able to lift crates of food in and out of their vehicles. Please dress to be comfortable and according to the weather.

We rely heavily on the hard work of volunteers and we cannot accomplish all we do without you. If you schedule a volunteer shift and DO NOT show up, Food for Others is not able to effectively serve the community to the best of our ability. No-shows will endanger future volunteering potential with our organization. With this in mind, we also understand unexpected circumstances can cause you to cancel, so it is important to our operations that you give us as much notice as possible. If you must cancel your shift less than 72 hours in advance, please email volunteer@foodforothers.org or call (571) 378-0602. Undisclosed cancellations made with less than 72 hours’ notice or frequent last-minute cancellations will be considered no-shows. If you are canceling a shift more than 72 hours prior to your commitment, please update your schedule by visiting your My Profile page (https://foodforothers.volunteermatters.org/volunteer/my-profile). In the "My Assignments" area, locate the shift in question, click on the icon, and then scroll down and click "Withdraw from Assignment".
