Pick up food donations from partner famers market vendors and deliver them to the Food for Others warehouse. These pickups are key in providing fresh food to families in need! Food Pickup Requirements: - Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license - Must use your own vehicle to transport food - Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. PLEASE NOTE: these shifts involve picking up supplies at Food for Others prior to the market pickup date. See individual shift descriptions for all details and instructions.
Please call (571) 378-0602 or email volunteer@foodforothers.org if you need to cancel your shift less than 72 hours in advance of your shift. Food for Others has established long-term relationships with small farm partners and we depend upon the reliable pickup and delivery of food by our volunteers. We cannot accomplish all we do without you. If you schedule a volunteer shift and do not show up or cancel on short notice, Food for Others is not able to effectively serve the community. With this in mind, we also understand unexpected circumstances can cause you to cancel, so it is important to our operations that you give us as much notice as possible. No-shows or late cancellations may endanger future volunteer shifts with our organization.
